Bitcoin Suisse restructures: up to 60 Swiss jobs at risk
Bitcoin Suisse announced on September 11 a restructuring that could result in cuts to as many as 60 of its 120 jobs in Switzerland. The Zug-based company, active in crypto since 2013, said some software-development and back-office functions will gradually be concentrated in international hubs. According to Reuters, the job cuts would follow a consultation period ending September 20. Bitcoin Suisse also announced the closure of its Copenhagen IT development site while continuing operations through other international locations including Bratislava, Liechtenstein, Abu Dhabi and Bermuda. The news shows that established crypto companies are also reviewing structure, costs and how work is distributed. A corporate restructuring is not automatically a negative signal for the entire market; it may reflect operating efficiency, international expansion or capital allocation.
