Crypto scams change shape, but they almost always rely on the same levers: urgency, fear of missing an opportunity, apparent authority, and promises that sound too good to be true.

7 warning signs you should not ignore

  • Guaranteed returns or “risk-free” profits.

  • Pressure to decide immediately or to keep the opportunity secret.

  • Requests for your seed phrase, private keys, or authentication codes.

  • Social-media accounts that closely imitate official ones but use slightly different names.

  • Links sent in private messages asking you to connect your wallet.

  • Fake support agents who contact you first.

  • Requests to send crypto to “unlock,” “verify,” or “double” funds.

The Crypto Mentor rule

When someone tries to take away your time to think, take even more time.

Before clicking, sending funds, or connecting a wallet, verify the source independently. Find the official site yourself, check more than one channel, and do not trust a contact simply because they use a professional logo and language.

Educational content only. If you suspect fraud, stop the interaction and use only the official channels of the service involved.
