U.S. CLARITY Act moves toward vote with tougher ethics rules in final text
The CLARITY Act is back at the center of debate in Washington as the Senate approaches a decisive step. According to the Associated Press, President Donald Trump accepted a significant part of a bipartisan compromise on ethics provisions tied to cryptocurrency market-structure legislation. The updated text, described by Senate Republicans as a final version, incorporates tougher demands on conflicts of interest. Measures under discussion include limits on digital-asset activities for federal officials and spouses, together with stronger enforcement mechanisms. The Block reported that the updated text was circulated ahead of a procedural vote expected this week. For the crypto sector, the process matters because the CLARITY Act aims to define the U.S. market’s regulatory structure more clearly. An agreement on ethics rules could remove one of the most debated political obstacles, but it does not guarantee passage: the legislation still has to clear the required parliamentary steps and the outcome remains uncertain. Crypto Mentor will continue following the vote while distinguishing proposed text, political agreements and rules that are actually enacted. Educational content only; not financial advice.
